Who we are
Catholic Women’s League SA Inc.
MEMBERSHIP
All Members of Catholic Women’s League SA shall be affiliated with a Branch.
There are 11 active Branches in the Archdiocese of Adelaide and 10 active Branches in the Diocese of Port Pirie.

Our Work
We are dedicated to building a culture of life,
advocating for the respect of human rights and promoting the teaching of Christ on the dignity, integrity and freedom
of the human person.
Catholic Women’s League of SA Incorporated is established to be a Charity whose objects are:
to participate in the moral and civic welfare
of the community.
Catholic organisations.
social or civic welfare nature and cooperate with organisations engaged in similar activities
the family and education.
“Women of Faith”
The theme, ‘Women of Faith’
was chosen for our CWLSA State Conference in 2024.
Our guest speakers at this conference were all women of great faith
who shared their stories and faith journeys with us.
We were inspired to continue our own journeys as ‘Women of Faith’
united with other ‘Women of Faith’ through our membership of CWLSA.
This year we have taken action in that role
and we are supporting Centacare, Catherine House, Vinnies and Hutt Street
as well as joining in Archdiocesan and Diocesan events
such as the Adelaide Archdiocesan Assembly,
the Port Pirie Diocesan Assembly, the Thuruna retreat,
the May procession
and the Jubilee Pilgrimage to Sevenhills.

CWLSA has a duty to educate and inform members socially and spiritually so they might respond with knowledge, courage, love and holiness to the social and moral needs in our nation, region and the world.
We uphold the dignity of women through education and encouraging participation in social and public life
Bioethics
CWLSA members have a mission to address social and ethical issues and seek to influence legislative and administrative bodies to preserve the dignity of the human person.

WUCWO
Catholic Women’s League South Australia, through affiliation with CWLA is an active member of the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organisations (WUCWO)
WUCWO has consultative status with the United Nations and is represented at the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
