Our Work

We are dedicated to building a culture of life,
advocating for the respect of human rights
and promoting the teaching of Christ on the dignity, integrity and freedom
of the human person.

The objects of the Catholic Women’s League SA are:
To promote the spiritual, cultural, intellectual and social interests of Catholic Women.
To encourage the Catholic women of Australia
to participate in the moral and civic welfare
of the community.
To associate with Australian and overseas
Catholic organisations.
To carry out any works of religious, charitable,
social or civic welfare nature and cooperate with organisations engaged in similar activities
To assert and defend Catholic and Christian principles, particularly in relation to marriage,
the family and education.
To foster vocations to the priesthood and the religious life and promote the lay apostolate.
To foster ecumenism and inter-faith dialogue.

“Come and You Will See”

John 1 v35-39

We have adopted the theme “Come and you will see” from John Ch1 v 35-39.

As Jesus walked with the disciples they asked “Where will we rest?”
He answered “Come and you will see.”
“Come” is welcoming
as we welcome all to join us.
“You will see”
invites us to investigate for ourselves.
By walking in the shoes of others
we may develop an understanding
of their difficulties so we can look for solutions and offer appropriate practical support.
This may be as simple as being a good listener.
